On the Sti’s Coax drivers tThe curvilinear profile LF cone provides smooth response within its intended frequency range thanks to its high damping pulp composition. The Coax drivers are in a balanced coil with a uniform distribution of mass and motive energy and an extremely linear motor assembly. The low distortion and sound quality are further improved by an aluminum demodulating ring that flatten LF impedance and phase with constant power transfer. Equipped with a proprietary hybrid radial tangerine phase plug, the integrated HF compression driver has been designed to give a smooth, coherent wavefront at the horn entrance in all working frequency ranges with an high level of manufacturing consistency.

When used in a 2-way system, we recommend a 1" or 2" exit compression driver to obtain the best sound quality and directional control. The LF drivers combines a high sensitivity value with high power handling capabilities. The curvilinear paper cone, in conjunction with the viscose dampened double half-roll suspension, provides excellent transient response and cone damping. The low inductance coil gives improvements in transient response. Excellent heat dissipation has been achieved by incorporating air channels in the basket design, between the basket and top plate. The special treatment applied to the top and the back plate is far more resistant to the corrosive effects of salts and oxidization than any other treatment in use
